Hope you’re enjoying this cooler Saturday!
I thought of you last night… had a tasty dinner at Cafe du Pays near Kendall Square and wished you could be with me. Oysters! Amazing sourdough bread with ham, pea soup, and pan-seared duck, then superb chocolate mousse with husk cherries! My sister treated me for my birthday. It was so good to see her and have a chance to catch up on her summer away.
Today I had a fancy French brunch with my other sister, her beau and my niece! If you ever need a special place for brunch, Gaslight in the South End could be the answer. It’s just off the highway with a parking lot next door, and it’s reasonably priced! I had the prix fixe menu – ham & cheese crepes with an egg on top, with OJ and raspberry shortbread for $11.75!
I’m off to eat Afghan food tonight with Hubby. Whee!
