Today’s big long conversation with Philip can not be shared.  Sorry.

You know those days when you wake up and listen to the radio news while you’re in the shower and  something big happens far away?  And you know right away that your man is right in the middle of it?

So you text him and yup… he’s dealing with it and says you can help!  Hooray!

So you text back and forth, telling him what CNN is saying on the outside while he’s telling you what’s going on from the inside?  And feeling really close to him, worrying for him, yet feeling useful… and it all works out okay and you breathe a big sigh of relief… and celebrate with some mushy sexy texts?

AND YOU CAN”T SHARE ANY OF IT WITH ANYONE?  ARRRRRGH!

Well… then you know what today was like.

Ah, this double life.  *sigh

Fruit Cobbler and History

Found a cobbler recipe that looks simple enough for me to make!  Thought you might like it, too.

You better hit share and keep this on your computer to find it later. This is the easiest way ever, to make cobbler!
Frozen berries, dry cake mix, and 1 can of sprite. yummy cobbler. It sounds so easy – and it is good and weight watcher friendly! 

Ingredients

Two 12-oz bags frozen mixed berries
     [You can use frozen peaches instead of mixed berries.]
1 box white cake mix (no pudding)
1 can of diet 7-up or sierra mist (clear soda)

Instructions

Place frozen fruit in a 9×13 baking dish. 
Add dry cake mix over the top. 
Pour soda slowly over cake mix. 

[DO NOT stir the cake mix and the pop – this will give you a ‘crust’. If you stir the two, you will have a cake like topping.]

Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 min.
Serves 16

I am old enough there have been times I thought I wouldn’t live to see this day. I’m overjoyed that marriage equality has arrived across the country. Love wins. Huzzah!

She’s sending me off for more blood tests, and to see specialists.  Yay.

Burger King has a new red velvet shake. Definitely avoid unless you like chocolate, whipped cream and Oreos in a thick red chilled mass of evil goodness.  🙂

 Appetizers!  Chicken katsu skewer, tempura shrimp and veggies, dumplings, shrimp shumai
