Tonight I got lost in the photos of Julien Schroder who is on the trail at the Iditarod! Here are my favorites.

The ghost town of Iditarod Alaska
By 1930 the gold was gone and most of the miners had moved to Flat, taking many of the buildings with them. Iditarod is now a ghost town. Only one cabin and a handful of ruins remain, including the concrete bank vault from the Miners and Merchants Bank. There is no remnant of the bank structure.”

So many Iditarod photos! I can’t resist posting a couple more of mountains and musher from the Redington Mushing Facebook page. Ryan Redington is mushing the race. He’s one of the grandsons of the founder of the race!

The post said:
“These screenshots are taken from a video on the *Iditarod Insider. These clips of Ryan, along with countless other teams, bring this race to life.
Watching these humans and canines work together in the untouched wilderness of Alaska is extraordinary. The endurance and determination these athletes possess and the trust they have in one another is profound. Good luck out there Team! We are SO proud of you!”
