Meet #36 Part 2 Beach Day

Sunday, September 28, 2014
I woke up about 5 am but managed to go back to sleep until around 9 am.  I was really frisky but could not interest Kris in any play.  He was mired in thinking about and then writing an email response to a nasty text from his wife.  I told him to tell her he is not available to her anymore to listen to her woes.  But he insisted on spending over an hour crafting a response to each of her points.  Ugh.  I told him we really needed to leave by 11 am.  At 10:55 am he jumped into the shower, dressed, tossed his stuff into the bag and we were able to leave at 11:15 am.
Why do I have to hang around while he works and writes to his wife?  Cuddling with him is good but feeling less and less worth all the hassle.
We drove over to Bristol and were too late to get a seat on the deck at Quito’s.  Argh! We ended up inside, which was cooler but felt claustrophobic tucked into a corner.  The waitress did not speak to us for 25 minutes!  Kris finally got up and went to fetch her.  I had the flight of chowders, sharing with Kris.  He ordered this delicious spinach salad with bacon, cheese, pecans, cranberries and pears!  I nibbled bits of that.  He got the little neck clams in garlic and oil.  I had an odd version of paella – covered in spicy red sauce!

I went off to the bathroom and asked him to get the bill and a take-out box.  He did it!  We paid and took off.  He wanted a blanket so he could sleep at the beach, and had found a consignment shop and called to check that they were open!  We went over there.  He ended up with Queen size blue sheets, which he can use later, because the blankets were too expensive.
I drove back through Bristol, showed him the America3 America’s Cup boat, then went over the Mount Hope Bridge and back up 24 to 77 to Little Compton.  I told him about my last dinner with Philip at Evelyn’s Drive-In.  We stopped at Walker’s farm stand.  I got a chocolate chip cookie and their fresh lemonade. He got a carrot cake cupcake and hot coffee.  We sat at a table to nosh.  I braved their porto-potty!  It was clean but about 105 degrees inside.  I had terrible diarrhea so I was glad to rid myself of that!

We drove on to South Beach.  It was so beautiful!  And crowded!

We went for a stroll, got our feet wet then camped out on the sheet so he could have a 20-minute nap.  I put my head on his hip and closed my eyes too.  We got up at 4 pm, went to the car to clean off my feet then headed out.  His troubles weighed heavily on his mind, so he was quiet.  I patted his leg and tried to balance letting him think with distracting him.
The traffic was heavy but rolled along.  I made it to my place at 5:45 pm!  My brother-in-law called asking me to get sparkling ciders.  So I dropped Kris off to get his motorcycle from the garage, dashed to the grocery store for 3 bottles and dashed to Sis’ house, arriving about 6:25 pm for dinner with my cousins!

=====

I got home about 9 and texted Kris.

Me: Finally home. Hope you’ve made it also. Delicious lamb dinner and good conversation with Sis and the family. Thanks again for the cuddles and all the rest! Mwah! 9:15 PM

Celebration Part I RI Day

Sunday, September 7, 2014
Birthday celebration Part I
I started celebrating early with a Sunday adventure to the state next door to the south – Rhode Island!
The weather was perfect – clear with a few high clouds now and then, breezy, 70… it looked like the opening of “The Simpsons!”  The sun made everything look so crisp and beautiful!  It was especially appreciated after the muggy 90’s and fierce thunderstorms of Saturday.
Hubby and I made a day of it, heading out early!  I had planned to only go down for dinner, but Hubby suggested enjoying the whole day!  Whee!

I have never seen the roads so empty!  It was glorious to sail down I-93 and Rte 24.
Lunch at Quito’s
We started the day in Bristol with a parking spot right out front of Quito’s, a fun seafood restaurant with a covered deck right on the harbor!

We shared a flight of chowders!  We got a great table right at the front looking out over the big boats and beautiful water.  It was great to compare the Manhattan, New England and Rhode Island versions of this classic.  I liked the tomatoey Manhattan more than I thought I might, did not really care for the clear broth briny RI and adore their New England.

Hubby had the grilled chili lime shrimp which I found tough, dry and hard to get off the skewers.  The stuffed quahog was not great either… the stuffing was packed down and dry even after a liberal dosing of lemon juice.

Our second course was better with crunchy clam fritters and coconut mango shrimp.  Hubby’s fish and chips had two huge squares of perfect fish.

South Beach wading
We motored on along the little roads of Tiverton and Little Compton, past the cow pastures and wineries and beautiful bays to the fantastic secret South Beach.  Hubby played “I’m All About the Bass” for me until we crossed into the area were there is no cell signal or wifi, so we went off the grid!  They’ve stopped charging for parking!  We pulled most of the way down and got a beachfront parking spot. I took a bunch of photos and a video!

The ocean water is usually way too cold to wade, but there were a lot of people in the water, so I decided to be brave.  I rolled up my pant legs, shucked my socks and clogs and waded in!  It was lovely! Hubby went in too!  It was a little hairy getting back to the car through the stones and getting our feet cleaned off and back into our shoes, but we managed together.

After a quick look at the peaceful Tuniper Pond across the road, we headed back North.

Farmstand colors
We pulled in at Walker’s Farm Stand.  I hadn’t been there before.  It’s a quintessential family farm with a mix of their homegrown veggies and stuff from elsewhere, with some cheeses and milk and goodies for the tourists.  I got a couple ears of corn, then popped in to Wilma’s Bakery for walnut pumpkin bread and a fresh lemonade!

The displays in the farm stand were so pretty, I dashed back to the car for my phone and snapped a few photos, then walked down to the fields to look out over the bay and take some more!

Grinnell’s Beach Beauty
They’ve locked the gate and the bathrooms.  Bleh!  But the views of the little island and the big house and the boats and the water are still spectacular.

General Store Treats

We went on to Fall River to find the Sky Beverage General Store.  It’s a beautiful rehab of an old factory building with a convenience store, frozen yogurt shop, candy store and cigar shop!

We got a few Jelly Belly Beans with odd flavors like “Movie Popcorn” and made use of their strong wifi signal to upload photos.

Dinner Delights
Then it was time to go back to Tiverton for an incredible dinner overlooking Mount Hope Bay at The Boat House.

We had the corner table overlooking the bay!  Sarah was our waitress – a bubbly geeky enthusiastic server with a passion for a clean table.

We started with their warm sourdough rolls and whipped butter in the cute little paper bag.  Hubby  had their Hall of Fame spicy corn chowder with chorizo, while I tried their clam chowder.  Both are delicious!

We shared the field greens with goat cheese and pecans in a champagne vinaigrette and then splurged on the raw bar sampler with 4 cocktail shrimp, 4 Point Judith Oysters and 4 Little Neck clams.

I gloried in the baked stuffed lobster with bay scallop and shrimp stuffing… so divine!  He had their sirloin steak with fried parmesan gnocchi and the fries.

The impossibly young looking handsome manager with the braces stopped by to wish me a happy birthday.  He got a little verkelmpt when we told him this is our “go-to place” for special days.  We watched the sunset over the bay as they brought me a little dessert with a candle – the dark chocolate budino (mousse) with hazelnuts and whipped cream, which was free!  They didn’t have hot chocolate so I had an ice cold glass of skim milk.  Such a special place!

There was heavier traffic going back, but it moved along and I managed to “make a pocket” away from cars most of the way.  We made it home in record time – just 66 minutes!  Whee!
I uploaded way too many photos to Facebook.  The sunshine made everything look spectacular!
This is the life!!!!

Great to stroke to

Plum Island and Newburyport

Monday, August 10, 2014
[from my private journal]
11:12 am – A summer afternoon in Newburyport and Plum Island
Hubby and I had a lovely afternoon on Monday adventuring to the north.  The weather was perfect – another of the series of beautiful days we’ve had this summer!  My work is about to get super-busy so I wanted to get out and about before that hits.  And Mondays are a great day to avoid the crush in the tourist/beach towns.
We set out up Rte 1 and stopped to gas up the car at the cheap Hess Station, then popped in at our favorite convenience store – a random Cumberland Farms in Ipswich that has clean bathrooms and stocks interesting new products.  Hubby picked up 3 of 4 new flavors of Lays potato chips:
• Wasabi Ginger,
• Mango Salsa and
• Bacon Mac & Cheese.
• He eschewed the Cappuccino flavor, not caring for that flavor in real life and rather horrified at the entire idea!
I picked up the Muddy Buddy Chex Mix.  We shared a “Wild cherry Italian ice” which was actually mild flavored but still tasty.
We went to Michael’s Harborside Restaurant on the harbor in Newburyport.  It’s easy to find – just a quick right and left off Rte. 1, with a huge parking lot, right next to the marina.  It’s a gorgeous setting – an outdoor bar, a covered deck, an open deck and an interior restaurant with big windows.  We opted to sit inside and were placed right at the front with views of the boats.  Our server, J.R., was helpful, if a bit busy and inattentive, but we weren’t in a hurry.  I had the most delicious creamy clam chowder!  It was full of fresh clams and potatoes.  Yum.  They served hot sourdough rolls and whipped butter – a real treat!  Hubby tried their soup du jour – a very ordinary vegetable soup with thin broth and lots of summer veggies.  I saved him from having to eat a big chunk of zucchini!  From there, things went downhill.  He ordered the tuna with ponzu sauce and found it inedible in that “smells” way.  Bleh.  He mentioned to the server, who took it away and brought him a menu to try something else.  His second choice was wonderful – the swordfish with garlic citrus butter.  I had the lobster pie, which was an odd recipe with mascarpone cheese that overrode the lobster flavor.  I tried to pull out the nice chunks and rid them of the gloppy sauce, but it was mostly bad.  Both our dishes came with grilled asparagus, which was fresh and perfectly cooked.  They also came with rice pilaf which was an odd mixture of overcooked and undercooked grains and inedible.  And the prices were 1/3rd higher than similar places.  So despite the lovely setting and perfect chowder, I can’t see going back.

We took a post-prandial stroll along the harbor.  They’ve created a lovely walk with sculpture and benches and plantings!

I had an hankering for ice cream, so we drove back down Rte 1 to the traffic circle and stopped at Haley’s Ice Cream. a fun retro shop with a 50’s interior and picnic tables outside.  I got a sugar cone stuffed with raspberry truffle ice cream!  It was a spectacular combo of raspberry ice cream with little chocolates mixed in.  Hubby tried the ginger ice cream which had crunchy bits of real ginger.  We sat outside in the afternoon sunshine and made a big mess with ice cream dripping down our hands.  Thank goodness for the lovely bathroom inside to wash up!

We rolled on to the beach at Plum Island. I drove around the cute little enclave of houses and drove down to the light house on the far end.

I thought we’d park after 5 pm – only $2.50 at one place – but Hubby wasn’t feeling well, so I left him parked in the residents only section and walked on the beach myself for a few minutes.  I had fun sitting on a rock, taking photos and a short video.

We took off for home and it was only an hour!  Traffic was the lightest I’ve seen.
Such a lovely excursion… stored up a bunch of memories to carry me through the busy fall!
Hope you are enjoying the end of your summer!

Meet #22 Vacation Part 3 A Martha’s Vineyard Day

Monday, July 7, 2014

[If you missed the earlier parts of my vacation with Kris, check out Part 1 and Part 2]

I had to set the alarm for 6 am so we’d be sure to make the ferry. We dressed, packed, ate a quick breakfast then went to the parking lot to unhook the boat. We headed out about 7:20 am. The drive is supposed to take just over an hour, and we’re supposed to be in line by 9 am in Woods Hole. We rolled along to Falmouth, and pulled into the Steamship Authority parking lot at 8:40 am. He sent me into the terminal to get a cup of coffee and something for myself. I picked bottle of water and a blueberry muffin and shared it with him. The prices were reasonable! Only $2.15 for a large coffee.

We helped train a bomb-sniffing dog! While I was in the terminal, a steamship authority guy asked Kris if he’d let him put a “can of scent” under his truck as part of training a new dog. Just as I returned, he was walking the dog up and down the rows of cars. The dog stopped at the truck, and sat down right next to where the canister was hidden! Kris chatted him up, found out how training works – basic food rewards for increasing distance and shorter time finds. The dog is a 2 year old yellow lab named Riley. It helped pass the time!

The ferry rolled up about 9 am with an ambulance the first to roll off. That was a sobering sight. Imagine needing a 45-minute ferry ride to get you to the hospital. Eek.

He drove the truck on and we took the stairs up to the top desk. We sat outside in the front. It was a windy, gray morning. I was sleepy so I mostly leaned on Kris and got up to take a photo now and then.  We rolled off onto the streets of Oak Bluffs at 10:15 am just as the sun came out! We stopped along Lake Street to look at the map and make a plan.

I took photos of the big old Victorian homes along the harbor.

We decided to walk around a bit, eat breakfast, then take off driving around the island. We parked on Circuit Ave. and strolled up looking at the shops. He asked the ladies at the Black Dog boutique where “a local carpenter would eat breakfast.” They sent us to Linda Jean’s. There was a “20 minute wait” that turned into 45. I was miserable waiting in the heat, so I strolled out to the gazebo in the park by the water where there was more of a breeze, checked out a bakery “the home of back door donuts” and bought a fridge magnet in the store across the street.

We finally got a nice wooden booth at the back in air-conditioned splendor. I had the “double play” – 3 eggs over easy, 2 slices of french toast, 2 strips of bacon and 2 sausages with fresh-squeezed OJ. Yum. He had the strawberry banana french toast.

I gave him one of my eggs. We got out of there about 12:30 pm. We’d forgotten about the 1-hour parking limit, so there was a $20 ticket! Ah well, not bad to pay for parking. We headed down Beach Road. Everything is so close together! In no time we were at the Stop & Shop in Edgartown, stocking up on fruit and snacks. I found the bathroom in the stockroom.

He decided he wanted to see Chappaquiddick, so we took the 3-car ferry for $16 across the 100 yards of water from Edgartown. It was nice to learn more about the island.

It’s a very quiet place – no commercial businesses! Most of the roads are dirt.

We drove down to Wasque Reserve, then back to Dike Road to “the bridge” and the Cape Poge Wildlife Reserve. He talked to a local about the “Ted Kennedy incident.”

We took the ferry back then headed south down Katama Road to South Beach. It was a beautiful place, but the wind was fierce and the waves huge!

He had talked about setting up a tent and hanging out there but the weather made it impossible and we were running out of time.  I used the porta-potties. No toilet paper – argh.

We drove across the center of the island through West Tisbury and Chilmark to Aquinnah on the western tip. I am surprised how undeveloped it is! He went to the bathroom and I strolled through the Wampanoag shops. There were some very pretty items there. We meandered up the Clay Cliffs at Gay Head. WOW! Such stupendous scenery! I can’t believe I’ve lived in Massachusetts all this time and never made it out here!  I took the “money shot” of the cliffs and the lighthouse in the late afternoon sun. I think it is the best photo I’ve taken all year.

There were about a dozen people up there enjoying the view. He broke one of the main rules of cheating and asked a woman to take a photo of the two of us with my phone camera. He put his arm around me and beamed! It was a fantastic photo of the two of us with the cliffs and lighthouse in the background with the sun shining… so for one sterling moment on that cliff… there was an “us” for everyone to see. It reminded me a bit of “American Gothic” with the broad-faced woman and the skinny balding man. That made me giggle!

We left there about 6 pm and went north to Vineyard Haven on the north-center tip. I was surprised how rural it is! I had no phone signal for a long time but was finally able to yelp to find somewhere for dinner. We found the Net Result, a seafood shack along the harbor where you order inside at a deli counter, then pick up at outside window and sit at picnic tables with other diners.

I got a stuffed clam, lobster bisque and a hot buttered lobster roll! He got a grilled swordfish sandwich.

We ate al fresco, looking at the huge boats and yachts across the street, and watching a local couple share a 6-pound lobster next to us! Kris chatted them up about what life was like in the winter, how the schools are set up (5 elementary schools, one high school). We strolled along the waterfront ogling the yachts, then got gas ($4.69 a gallon!) and drove over to the steamship authority. We put the truck in the line for the ferry, then got out and sat on the harbor front.

If you’d like to see the 54 photos I took today, pop over to Google + to look at that album:

https://plus.google.com/photos/101174762249697322833/albums/6033651197604315073

They loaded us onto the ferry about 9:15 pm. We took the elevator up to the enclosed middle deck. Kris got a coffee and we snacked on the grapes, crackers and cheese and rasinettes. The trip went very fast – we docked in 30 minutes! We dashed to the truck and rolled out into the Falmouth night at 10:15 pm. There was no traffic this time, thank goodness. We were back at the Red Roof Inn in Mansfield at 11:15 pm. We had planned to drive back to my place but changed our minds as we drove to hotel. They were glad to have us stay another night. I was not ready to end our idyll!

Kris fell asleep in his clothes! I undressed him and tucked him in. He woke and we had a long, silly discussion about whether to have sex. He took matters into his own hands, literally, making me cum with his talented fingers on my clit, then going to his favorite position, going inside me under me. He fell back to sleep. I got up to set the alarm for 8 am and get organized so I don’t have to do much in the morning. I fell asleep about 12:30 am with a big smile on my face.

12:10am
I adored that.  Hottest moment of my life!

12:11am Phil

12:21am
Learned a lot about blow jobs.

12:21am Phil
You already knew how to take a cock down your throat, hot as hell
Can’t wait to experience what you learned

12:22am
Not just sucking… licking… blowing… touching… looking into your eyes.

12:23am Phil

All important. I want you to look at me as you suck and lick and stroke my cock.

I want to cum between your tits, on your face, in your mouth, in your pussy and in your ass, think that covers it, maybe in your hand

12:27am
I definitely want to see you cum.  Still haven’t seen that ever… feel it on my skin… watch it spurt spurt spurt!

12:27am Phil
