I have been reading lots of articles and books over the years about polyamory and open marriage. Communication about such things becomes hard especially with someone you love and respect and who says she is an absolute monogamist but for whom you feel no sexual attraction. This has been weighing heavily, again, on my mind because (perhaps she can sense my distracted state of mind?) this has come up again quite a bit between us. So, here I am with only half my attention at work feeling like I want to be somewhere else.

Friday afternoon is still a possibility – between 1 and 3. But I have a meeting at 3:30 to go back to, unfortunately.

How is your busy week so far? Did you get most of what you wanted to do, done?

Hiya!

Just got back from a wonderful lunch at Border Cafe with Hubby and a gal pal. She posted to FB last week that she is 1) breaking up with her bf of 7 years, 2) Quitting her job, 3) Moving to CT, 4) to be with a new guy! Whee!

Work is coasting down to a dull roar. A lot of folks out next week so it should be quiet, thank goodness.

Sis is leaving next week for a summer with her family in Australia and NZ next, so I am listening to her barely-controlled panic about all she has to get done to be ready to go. Gonna miss her something fierce.

Sorry your home situation is weighing so heavily on you. I hope I can lighten the load, or at least listen. My favorite article from 2010 in the Boston Globe has disappeared. It was amazingly unsensational, with real people living poly lives in various configurations which seemed reasonable. These are big issues but I hope a solution is just around the corner. In the mean time, put on your best compartmentalizing cap and kvetch to me.

Can’t get a hotel from 1-3 pm. Want to meet for lunch and talk more? Or is that torture without touching? Find another day late afternoon?

I’d better get back to work – gotta do the payroll early due to the holiday next week…yippee.

Hiya! Home at last! Had a delightful dinner at Posto with Hubby and my favorite of his girlfriends. They don’t date anymore but we enjoy her company. She won big on Jeopardy!
