Thanks for asking.  I don’t want to go on and on about it but it has been a very tough couple of weeks.  Mom was in ICU for 11 days.  She got to a regular unit last Saturday, out to rehab Monday.  Wednesday they sent her to the E.R. because her lungs were full of fluid (i.e. heart not working).  They drained that and changed her meds, sent her back to rehab late yesterday.  She is incredibly tired, sometimes her mind doesn’t work (probably due to meds or lack of oxygen).  It’s rough to see this totally functional person go to non-functioning and be so sad.  She doesn’t want to eat.  But there are good signs – she can walk, they are making adjustments, so I hope it is onward and upward from here!  
I’ve also been having car problems, which are maddening, expensive and probably mean I should get a new car.  Ugh.  No money and a big husband who can fit in about 6 models makes that a fascinating project.  
I thought I could see Mom a couple hours a day and be able to work, do theater, flirt… but it is eating my brain.  All I want to do is sleep so I don’t think about it so much. I do appreciate the videos… when I have half a brain I’ve been enjoying watching to take my mind off things.  
Please don’t think it has anything to do with you.  I am ignoring all my guys.  🙂   Please don’t stop writing!

Mom was taken to the E.R. – rehab folks noticed shortness of breath and she said chest pain – so they’ve figured out her lungs are full of fluid again… need to drain it, then figure out why it’s there and fix that.  Ugh.  Hard to work with that going on, but my older sister and her beau are there.  Pray again please!  Hope your day is calmer than mine!

Oh lord.  I went through all of this with my Dad, mother in law and father in law.  I understand. Just glad I was able to be there for all of them.  You learn how precious even the small moments are during these times. Life is such a precious commodity and we are all only here for such a short time. Hold her hand, be there, smile for her cause that’s precious and important for her.  I never stopped praying.
