The photos from the race are amazing today – Northern lights, cute doggies in booties, massive mountains, mushers and tireless volunteers helping making it all happen!
Ralph Johannessen drops down onto the frozen surface of Puntilla Lake in the Alaska Range. Mushers in the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race came and went from the Rainy Pass checkpoint for much of Monday, March 7, 2016.
