Holday Cookie Exchange – MONSTER BALLS

Dear Readers,
It’s time to share recipes for holiday treats!  Yum.  A gaggle of sexy bloggers are kicking off the holiday season in style with the 8th annual recipe exchange!  Jz from A Reluctant Bitch encouraged us to post a favorite holiday treat recipe today.  Bless her heart and many thanks for pulling this together! So you can see holiday treats all over this part of the blogosphere!  And drool over something other than my cleavage today!  The recipe I picked is below, and then further down are the links to the other blogs sharing their tasty treats!
I adore cookies!  Cookie Monster is my favorite Sesame Street muppet.  Om nom nom.  I am not much of a baker these days, but I used to help my mom make hundreds of cookies for church events – from lebkuchen (that had to be started a month ahead of time), to sugar cookies, currant bars, icebox cookies, shortbreads, thumbprints with raspberry jam, molasses cookies, spritz, ginger bread men, and something she called “snowballs.”  See my cookie post from 2012 about those!  Ever since I’ve been hooked on eating balls of all kinds!
In 2013, I shared Noreen’s easy recipe for Oreo Cookie Balls.  There was even a video to make prep extra easy!

The 2014 entry was an amazing recipe for toffee cookie balls from Snackworks!  With only four ingredients!  And three steps!  And NO BAKING!  I could do that!  More balls made of cookies! With chocolate and toffee!

For 2015, I shared something a little more exotic – doggy style cookies.  They still had balls on them!
The 2016 post was an easy no-bake recipe with caramel, chocolate and nuts that turn into TURTLE BALLS!

Last year, I shared an easy no-bake recipe with chocolate and stuff that turns into RED VELVET BALLS!

This year, my cookie exchange creation is a chocolatey nutty oaty delight:

NO-BAKE MONSTER COOKIE BALLS

Adapted from Maegan – The BakerMama
https://thebakermama.com/recipes/no-bake-monster-cookie-balls/
[there’s a video that shows how to make them]

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 5 minutes
Serves 20

Ingredients:
  • 2-1/2 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 1 cup creamy or crunchy peanut butter
  • ½ cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup mini chocolate chips
  • ½ cup mini M&M candies

Also needed – A sheet of parchment paper and a pan, or platter

    Instructions:
    1) In a large bowl, stir together the oats, peanut butter, honey and vanilla until well combined. Stir in the chocolate chips and M&M candies.

Depending on the colors associated with the holiday, you can use particular M&Ms to highlight them.

    2) Roll dough into 2-tablespoon sized smooth balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet or a plate.  (A melon baller can help)

    3) Place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

    4)  Display elegantly on a plate or tray, serve and enjoy!

You can transfer them to an air-tight container and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Happy Holidays Dear Readers!  Extra hugs with groping!
    -Sassy

    Sassie,
So sorry to hear you’ve been under the weather.  We had a good Thanksgiving here.  Kids were here that weekend plus this weekend, so it’s been very busy.  Oldest is going away for Christmas so we had to get as much family time in as we could.
Looking forward to another rendezvous soon. I have two opportunities coming up this week.  You can choose between them. On Wednesday, I could stay a little longer into the evening, or we could do the normal Friday. If those don’t work for you, I suppose I could wait yet another week before being able to explore your delights.
    Let me know.

    Hiya Brett!
So wonderful to hear from you!  And have choices!  Oooh….
Unfortunately, I can not get away from work until too late either day.  Argh!  I have a meeting until 3 pm on Wednesday, and Friday is our holiday party from 3-5 pm.  Bleh!
I would so rather be with you!  I have been thinking about you a lot.  I am finally starting to feel better today.
Next week is very quiet, so pick any day you can for exploration!  Whee!

    Sassssssie,
Let’s tentatively try for Wednesday, since I can stay a little later then….plus its sooner.
I haven’t looked that far ahead on my schedule,  but I think I could do it.

Sounds like a fun plan!  It will be awesome to have that to anticipate.
Let me know when it looks possible enough for me to make a reservation and whether you’ll want lunch or pizza or something?
Mmm…my brain is already noodling over what we might do!  Thank you!

    Seventh Blogiversary!

    Dear Readers,

Same Sassy Girl is passing a major milestone today – SEVEN YEARS of blogging.  Wow!  Time to celebrate!  Have a cupcake!  I got one for you! You can have some hugs with groping and… mmm… what was I talking about?  Oh yes!  SEVEN YEARS!  YIKES!

    • Over 375,000 hits.
    • Over 54,000 hits this year.
    • This is my 4,197th post!
    • Whee!
Some days seven years ago seems like forever – I have come so far, learned so much, seen so many bloggers cum and go.  Other times it still feels so shiny and new. How can it be seven years?!  If you haven’t read about my humble beginning, please click “The Start” above and read about how I reconnected with my old flame and started on the road to Sassy-ness!

I had no idea when I started this blog experiment I’d reveal all this crap strange and wonderful stuff.  I just wanted a seat at the table with the likes of Riff Dawg, Ryan Beaumont, Advizor54, Kat, Holly or Ms. I.  I figured I’d write for a month or two, tell people about Philip and me and then stop, like you do when you write a book.

Every post is still tough – I think… “can I do this?” I am half-excited and half-terrified every time I hit “Publish,” but telling my story seems worth it – remembering, recording, trying to make sense of it and sharing it.  I work so hard to entertain Philip and keep the connection open.  And I’ve met the strange and wonderful men from AM… have to tell you all about it!  I keep wondering how my story will turn out, but it’s still happening… and I hope still interesting to you!

I am astonished I have kept the blog a secret. It is strange not to share what I consider a major accomplishment with my real life friends and family, and to share so many feelings with you and none of the usual facts!   There are many of you I trust, but it’s simpler to stay anonymous.

This blog led me to so many fantastic blogs and the wonderful people who write them!  Be sure to check out my blog roll on the right.  I’ve learned so much about life, love, great sex, and myself.  I’ve connected with so many wonderful bloggers and other readers.  I hope you’ll join with me in hoping we all keep sharing for a long time!  In these strange days, the personal sexy stories are such a marvelous distraction from the world’s ills.

The best part, which I didn’t know about when I started writing, is the blogger community online. I am so happy to be part of it!  Where else can you talk with the likes of supportive and sensual Naughty Kitty?  And the amazing adventures of James from Break Out!  Or Suzy from Adventures of a Happy Hotwife!!

I desperately miss the uber-sexy smart stud Advizor54 who started blogging in February 2006 with his Free Advice is worth what you pay for it and posted the hottest twisted fiction tinged with reality in the blogosphere! He needed a break in August and disappeared, but I hear he is alive and well and may return soon!

As the smart and sexy Ryan Beaumont of “The Ashley Madison Adventures of a Regular Guy Gone Bad” put it so poetically in his four-year blogiversary post, [how freaky is that?!  We started posting on the same day, a year apart] blogging is “that little something extra we need to feel good about where we are in life.  Yeah, a little life lagniappe.” I hope to keep adding something extra to my life and yours for awhile longer!

I’m still writing! And you are still reading!  Wow!!!  Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.  Your comments and emails make my day!

If you have a story to tell, join me!  Start blogging today!  Google’s Blogger is mostly easy and there are lots of us to help you get your words out there.  This could be your blogiversary next year!

    Hugs with groping!

Hiya Brett!  Hope you’re having a lovey weekend, getting into the holiday spirit?
I am spending my 22nd day sniffling and coughing… not fun.  But it gives me lots of time to lie in bed and close my eyes and remember certain afternoons with a handsome man!
I saw the doctor on Tuesday.  No help there…said it’s a virus, keep resting and hydrating.  She also said I should be better soon.  Hope that’s true!
    Big hugs!
