My mom died last night. I’m relieved that her suffering is over, and keeping busy with the arrangements. Memorial service details coming up soon as we nail them down. Any cat fun photos appreciated.

Elote loco (street corn) off the cob
Hubby’s hangar steak with maitre d’butter, 
smashed red red bliss potatoes, panko onion rings, 
mushrooms and spinach salad with whole mustard vinaigrette
Pulled pork sandwich with chow chow, cabbage, 
and pimento cheese with potato bacon salad
the pina colada tres leches – sponge cake, rum poached pineapple, 
toasted coconut with almonds and condensed milk, and
 my sticky toffee cake with whipped cream

Deep thoughts… looking for answers. I don’t dig in to every headline but twice this week I noticed in a report of heinous murder that the shooter had a history of domestic violence. That may be worth digging into… can we do more on those crimes so they don’t escalate to murder? Sigh. It’s past time to start trying everything to stop these shootings.
