How was your trip? Did you see beautiful places and eat great food? Hope the weather was good. I thought of you, fantasized about tagging along on your adventures. Tell me stories when I see you?
So sorry to hear about your kidney turning against you. My dad had that… no fun. Hope you are feeling much better.
I’ve been great! I had an “interesting” month. Here are three bits of news:
1. My church friend in the nursing home died 3 days after I saw you, so I dealt with a DNR and the hospice folks, found a minister on Easter weekend, planned her burial etc. She had no family, so it was me, my sister and a minister at the grave on a windy Tuesday morning singing “Amazing Grace” and praying. It is a relief that her suffering is over.
2. My sisters and I went to the World Figure Skating Championships at the Garden the end of March. It was a slog – long lines to get in, security lines, bathroom lines, lines for expensive bad food, and sitting in the cold in the 6th row for hours, but the skating was incredible and we had fun!
3. My latest project event was a success! We had over 500 people, and made $2,300!
Work has been a little crazier than usual with no boss, but I like it. They haven’t posted the job yet – they’re actually reviewing the job description! So I hope to get deep in to the summer without direct supervision. I am getting a new laptop from work – so there is a Macbook Air in my near future.
Mom’s doctor changed her meds, and she is doing a bit better! The entire family is gathering at her assisted living place this Sunday for Mother’s Day.

Would you consider driving in to my place? You could park in the garage underneath.
Hubby has an event out in the burbs so he will have the car.

Yay! Thanks Brett! Two questions:
1) Timing – Do you have an arrival time estimate? I need to prep Hubby on when to head out. Should I tell him 4 pm to be safe? Or is that too early? You can let me know when you leave, and I’ll leave work to meet you here.
2) Food – Do you want pizza? What toppings?
