Found this great app…SHUSH. Whenever you silence your phone, it asks how long you want it off, then restores volume x hrs later. Nice!  Just install, turn the volume down and it asks you for how long.  Great for meetings or when you see a movie or have a doctor’s appointment…

Sending sexy fun

Subject: Update
Sassy,
I just wanted to send a quick email so you know I’m still thinking of you.
My colonoscopy went well.  No issues there.  However the next week I got a horrible backache.  This is a symptom I’ve never had before.  I finally went to the doctor today.  They did blood work and an MRI.  I haven’t had any results yet.
With the busyness of the season, (presuming I resolve this hopefully little health issue) it’s probably looking unlikely for an encounter this month.  Just wanted to give you a heads up.

Re: Update
Hiya Brett!  Thank you very much for your email. So sorry to hear about your back!  How scary!  I hope the doctors can help you soon. Let me know? I will be thinking about you.
I figured December would be tricky.  I so appreciate your being in touch anyway.  I am off work from Dec 22, and then the 24 to Jan 3, so if you see any time in there, it would be easy for me.
Projects and work and Mom have been keeping me busy.
Here’s a tumblr of sexy fun. Enjoy!

Holiday Cookie Exchange – Turtle Balls

Dear Readers,

It’s time to share recipes for holiday treats!  Yum.  A bunch of sexy bloggers are kicking off the holiday season in style with the annual recipe exchange!  Jz from A Reluctant Bitch encouraged us to post a favorite holiday treat recipe today.  Bless her heart and many thanks for pulling this together! So you can see holiday treats all over this the blogosphere!  And drool over something other than my cleavage today!  You can see my recipe below and then links to the other blogs sharing their tasty treats too!
I adore cookies!  Cookie Monster is my favorite Sesame Street muppet.  Om nom nom.  I am not much of a baker these days, but I used to help my mom make hundreds of cookies for church events – from lebkuchen (that had to be started a month ahead of time), to sugar cookies, currant bars, icebox cookies, shortbreads, thumbprints with raspberry jam, molasses cookies, spritz, ginger bread men, and something she called “snowballs.”  See my cookie post from 2012 about those!  Ever since I’ve been hooked on eating balls of all kinds!
In 2013, I shared Noreen’s easy recipe for Oreo Cookie Balls.  There was even a video to make prep extra easy!  The 2014 entry was an amazing recipe for toffee cookie balls from Snackworks!  With only four ingredients!  And three steps!  And NO BAKING!  I could do that!  More balls made of cookies! With chocolate and toffee!
Last year I shared something a little more exotic – doggy style cookies.  They still had balls on them!
I can’t believe this is my fifth year taking part.  Wow!  This year in keeping with my favorites, I am sharing an easy no-bake recipe with caramel, chocolate and nuts that turn into TURTLE BALLS!

I am not a great cook, but I am a pretty fair Googler.  I found the recipe here:

http://www.kraftrecipes.com/recipes/turtle-cookie-balls-128342.aspx

It has five easy-to-find ingredients and five steps to yummy goodness in less than 2 hours!  You wanna play with nuts and balls, right?!

TURTLE COOKIE BALLS RECIPE
Prep Time: 30min.
Total Time: 1hr. 40min.
Creates 42 balls

Ingredients:

• 1 pkg. (8 oz.) Cream Cheese, softened

• 70 vanilla wafers, finely crushed (about 2-1/3 cups)

• 6 Tbsp. caramel ice cream topping

• 1/2 cup chopped pecans

• 4 pkg. (4 oz. each) BAKER’S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, broken into pieces, melted

Also needed – A sheet of waxed paper and a pan or platter

Instructions:
1) Mix first 4 ingredients (cream cheese, wafers, caramel, pecans) until blended.
2) Shape into 42 (1-inch) balls. Freeze 10 min.
3) Dip balls in melted chocolate; place in single layer in shallow waxed paper-lined pan.

How to Easily Dip BallsTo easily coat balls with the melted chocolate, add balls, in batches, to bowl of melted chocolate. Use 2 forks to roll balls in chocolate until evenly coated. Remove balls with forks, letting excess chocolate drip back into bowl. Place balls in prepared pan; let stand until firm.

4) Sprinkle with more nuts.
5) Refrigerate 1 hour or until firm.
6) Display elegantly on a plate or tray, serve and enjoy!
If there are any left, store then in tightly covered container in the refrigerator.
[I changed the recipe based on the comments – added more caramel and nuts, put the nuts in with the balls before dipping as well as on top.  You may also want to use some or all milk chocolate instead of semi-sweet]
Happy Holidays Dear Readers!  Extra hugs with groping!
-Sassy
