Beverly Clark: We need a witness to our lives. There’s a billion people on the planet… I mean, what does any one life really mean? But in a marriage, you’re promising to care about everything. The good things, the bad things, the terrible things, the mundane things… all of it, all of the time, every day. You’re saying ‘Your life will not go unnoticed because I will notice it. Your life will not go un-witnessed because I will be your witness’.”
from Shall We Dance (2004)

How long had it been since he noticed me?  Touched me?  Hmmm.. too damn long.
No one believes that a man will turn down sex.  I tried everything to get him to notice me and do something about it.
• Cooking his favorite dinner and offering myself for dessert.
• Wearing sexy lingerie.
• Wearing new perfume he’d given me.
• Bringing home his favorite beer.
• Sharing sexy videos.
• Chatting with him fresh from the shower, naked, in the bedroom, on a Saturday morning when we didn’t have to be anywhere!
Still nothing!  I gave up.
I connected with a man on Ashley Madison.  We met for coffee.  He made me laugh.  He didn’t sit there reading Facebook!  We met for lunch.  He invited me to his favorite bed & breakfast.
He texted me that the door was open – he was out getting condoms and chocolates!  I shed my skirt and panties, sat on the couch.  Suddenly I heard his car.  I stayed there.  Exposed.  Needy.  Waiting.
