One of my favorite places to meet is gone.  Ugh.
No more Hazelnut Hot Chocolate here…sniff

10:21am

Thinking deep thoughts and need to share. Chat was especially busy last night because a man had posted on the “cheaters forum” that many people find the chat room through.
————–
I’m the guy who was {her nickname’s} partner, lover, and fiancé. I regret to inform you that she passed from 4th stage breast cancer that presented itself after 10 years of her being cancer free.
She loved this forum. I’m sure she shared our ups and downs over the years as we dealt with our spouses, marriage, divorces and our truly deep love for each other. Love does conquer all and our story proves it.
We lived together over the past 18 months and were to get married this year when my divorce became final. The cancer beat us. In fact, her memorial service took place on the day we were to get married.
I’m posting not to be a downer on this forum but to say goodbye for her and tell you that true, honest love is out there. You just need to find it.

————-

He shared the loving video tribute he made for her wake. Please watch a bit of it. I have never seen love jump off the screen like it does in this piece.
[URL redacted]

I was astounded that they had the kind of relationship where he could come to the forum where she had crowed and bitched about him, and let us know.
I never interacted with her, but I listened in chat to those who had, and wondered why such a special woman is dead from breast cancer and I am not. I have to let it push me to find my mission, and to live life to the fullest.
I had to tell someone. I am so glad you are in my life and can understand this like no one else. Thank you, Philip, for all you did to help me keep smiling when I was in treatment, and every day since!

10:44am

 Philip

Wow! Sad, yet beautiful. Life has a strange way of catching up to us. My life is good, far from perfect and I struggle with what I feel daily. It’s good to unload it sometimes and for that I am eternally grateful. I will always be here, willing to listen and help when I can.

10:53am

Holiday Cookies Doggy Style

A Charlie Brown Christmas
Snoopy Sugar Cookies
Dear Readers,
It’s time to share recipes for holiday treats!  Yum.  A bunch of sexy bloggers are kicking off the holiday season in style with the annual recipe exchange!  Jz from A Reluctant Bitch encouraged us to post a favorite holiday treat recipe today.  Bless her heart and many thanks for pulling this together! So you can see holiday treats all over this the blogosphere!  And drool over something other than my cleavage today!
I adore cookies!  Cookie Monster is my favorite Sesame Street muppet.  Om nom nom.  I am not much of a baker, but I used to help my mom make hundreds of cookies for church events – from lebkuchen (that had to be started a month ahead of time), to sugar cookies, currant bars, icebox cookies, shortbreads, thumbprints with raspberry jam, molasses cookies, spritz, ginger bread men, and something she called “snowballs.”  See my cookie post from 2012 about those!  Ever since I’ve been hooked on eating balls of all kinds!
In 2013, I shared Noreen’s easy recipe for Oreo Cookie Balls.  There was even a video to make prep extra easy!  Last year,  I posted an amazing recipe for toffee cookie balls from Snackworks!  With only four ingredients!  And three steps!  And NO BAKING!  I could do that!  More balls made of cookies! With chocolate and toffee!
This year we’re going a little more exotic with doggy style cookies.  Don’t worry – they still have balls on them!
You have two options:
1) Order the cookies

Melissa Vergel sells them at SweetFlanDeCoco on Etsy.  They’re pricy but will make a big impression at your holiday party!  I am not connected with her and it’s probably best if you don’t tell her where you heard about her!  You found her…. “online somewhere…”   Yeah… that’s the ticket.

They come in two sizes:

a. mini-cookies

https://www.etsy.com/listing/256862717/snoopy-christmas-decorated-mini-cookies?ref=related-1
b. regular size
https://www.etsy.com/listing/249210156/snoopy-christmas-decorated-cookies-a?ref=market
I am not a baker, so that’s what I’m going to do!
2) Make them yourself
If you are more kitcheny and oveny than I am, here are some clues in four easy steps.
First step

Get a plastic cookie cutter.  You want the one of Charlie Brown’s dog Snoopy lying on his dog house.  I found two online for about $7:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Snoopy-Christmas-Cookie-Cutter-3D-Printed/262135709701?_trksid=p2047675.c100011.m1850&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D34576%26meid%3D9ce7485620f64c9082f63c8c66ae6738%26pid%3D100011%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D10%26sd%3D252029488299
OR
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Snoopy-Christmas-Cookie-Cutter-3D-Printed/262135709701?_trksid=p2047675.c100011.m1850&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D34576%26meid%3D9ce7485620f64c9082f63c8c66ae6738%26pid%3D100011%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D10%26sd%3D252029488299
Second step

Make sugar cookies and icing

Here’s the easy recipe:
      from http://bakeat350.blogspot.com/
Vanilla-Almond Sugar Cookies
Ingredients:
   3 c unbleached, all-purpose flour
   2 tsp baking powder
1 c sugar (I use sugar that I’ve stored vanilla beans in)
2 sticks (salted) butter, cold & cut into chunks
   1 egg
   3/4 tsp pure vanilla extract
   1/2 tsp pure almond extract
Instructions:
Cookies:

Preheat oven to 350.
Combine the flour and baking powder, set aside. Cream the sugar and butter. Add the egg and extracts and mix. Gradually add the flour mixture and beat just until combined, scraping down the bowl, especially the bottom.  The dough will be crumbly, so knead it together with your hands as you scoop it out of the bowl for rolling.
Roll on a floured surface to about 1/4″ to 3/8″ thick, and cut into shapes. Place on parchment lined baking sheets (I recommend freezing the cut out shape on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before baking) and bake for 10-12 minutes. Let sit a few minutes on the sheet, then transfer to a cooling rack.

Royal Icing

follow the recipe here
http://bakeat350.blogspot.com/2010/01/royal-icing-102-or-201-or-whatever.html

When the icing is beginning to reach a stiff peak, add a drop or two of almond extract and beat until stiff peaks form.  Transfer icing to three separate containers and color (white, black and red – she likes AmeriColors. Press plastic wrap down onto the icing.

Third step
Decorate!

Spread on the red icing to cover the dog house.
Spread on the white icing to cover the dog.
Let dry for at least an hour.
Using a #2 decorating tip, pipe the dog’s feature and stripes and swags.  Then press little decorative balls to form the “lights” on the swags.  You can find them in many larger grocery stores or craft stores.
Fourth step
Display elegantly on a plate or tray, serve and enjoy!
Happy Holidays Dear Readers!  Extra hugs with groping!

Fourth Blogiversary!

Thursday, December 3, 2015

Dear Readers,

Same Sassy Girl is passing a major milestone today – four years of blogging.  Wow!  Time to celebrate!  Have a cupcake!  I got one for you!  and two friends!  We could have a foursome and party and… wait… what was I talking about?  Oh yeah… my fourth blogiversary!

Some days four years ago seems like forever – I have come so far, learned so much.  Other times it still feels so shiny and new. How can it be four years?!  If you haven’t read about my humble beginning, please click “The Start” above and read about how I reconnected with my old flame and started on the road to Sassy-ness!

I had no idea when I started this blog experiment I’d reveal all this crap strange and wonderful stuff.  I just wanted a seat at the table with the likes of Riff Dawg, Ryan Beaumont, Holly or Ms. I.  I figured I’d write for a month or two, tell people about Philip and me and then stop, like you do when you write a book.

Every post is still tough – I think… “can I do this?” I am half-excited and half-terrified every time I hit “Publish,” but telling my story seems worth it – remembering, recording, trying to make sense of it and sharing it.  I work so hard to entertain Philip and keep the connection open.  And I’ve met the strange and wonderful men from AM… have to tell you all about it!  I keep wondering how my story will turn out, but it’s still happening… and I hope still interesting to you!

I am astonished I have kept the blog a secret. It is strange not to share what I consider a major accomplishment with my real life friends and family, and to share so many feelings with you and none of the usual facts!   There are many of you I trust, but it’s simpler to stay anonymous.

This blog led me to so many fantastic blogs and the wonderful people who write them!  Be sure to check out my blog roll on the right.  I’ve learned so much about life, love, great sex, and myself.  I’ve connected with so many wonderful bloggers and other readers.  I hope you’ll join with me in hoping we all keep sharing for a long time!

  • 65 members.
  • Over 220,000 hits.
  • Over 2,500 posts.
  • Whee!

I never realized there is a community online and that I could be part of it.  Where else can you talk with the likes of supportive and sensual Naughty Kitty?  Or the uber-sexy smart stud Advizor54 who has been blogging since February 2006 and still comes up the hottest twisted fiction tinged with reality in the blogosphere?

As the brilliant and beautiful Ryan Beaumont of “The Ashley Madison Adventures of a Regular Guy Gone Bad” put it so beautifully in his four-year blogiversary post, [how freaky is that?!  We started posting on the same day, a year apart] blogging is”that little something extra we need to feel good about where we are in life.  Yeah, a little life lagniappe.” I hope to keep adding something extra to my life and yours for awhile longer!

I’m still writing!  Wow!!  And you are still reading!  Wow!!!  Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.  Your comments and emails make my day!

If you have a story to tell, join me!  Start blogging today!  Google’s Blogger is mostly easy and there are lots of us to help you get your words out there.  This could be your blogiversary next year!

Hugs with groping!

-Sassy
