=============

Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray the Lord my soul to keep
If I should die before I wake
I pray the Lord my soul to take
A Collect for Protection
O God, the life of all who live, the light of the faithful, the strength of those who labor, and the repose of the dead:
We thank you for the blessings of the day that is past, and humbly ask for your protection through the coming night.
Bring us in safety to the morning hours;
through him who died and rose again for us, your Son our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.
May His great Name grow exalted and sanctified
in the world that He created as He willed.
May He give reign to His kingship in your lifetimes and in your days,
and in the lifetimes of the entire Family of Israel,swiftly and soon Amen

May His great Name be blessed forever and ever.
Blessed, praised, glorified, exalted, extolled,
mighty, upraised, and lauded be the Name of the Holy One
Blessed is He. beyond any blessing and song, praise and consolation that are uttered in the world. Amen
Blessed be the mother goddess, by all her many names.
May she bless my family and friends.
May she bless the animals of the world,
and all people everywhere.

“What was all that?” he asked quietly.
“It’s the prayers…  From my childhood, the Anglicans, the Jews, the Wiccans…I know more but it’s late.”
“Covering lots of bases, eh?” he observed dryly, trying not to chuckle at her heartfelt devotion.

“Yes… might as well,” she shrugged.  “Maybe one of them will bring him back to me.”

    This was a difficult one! Well done, Sassy! And it had just the right touch of sassiness at the end.
