New AM man writes

August 21, 2016 Sunday

It never fails… I don’t hear from any Ashley Madison men for weeks, and at the start of my busiest week of the year at work?  Boom!  A new man writes!  Philip started this trend six years ago this week.

I woke up Sunday morning to a lovely long introductory message!

Hi! I am a 65-year-old guy, hoping to find a spark of romance and to develop a discreet relationship over time. I am low-key, well-educated, well-traveled, and people tell me I am charming and witty. Ethnic restaurants, museums, the New England Aquarium, old movies, jazz. Kissing and snuggling are things I love, but haven’t had much of in a long time (I’m in a roommate sort of marriage.) Please take a look at my profile and drop me a note if I sound like someone you would like to meet for lunch sometime so we could begin to get to know each other. Cheers

=====

Wow!  He certainly knows how to write!  Complete sentences, no typos and he knows how to spell discreet!  He sounds nice. I looked at his profile – more sweet sentences and appealing ideas!

Hiya, How’re you this fine summer Sunday? Thank you for your nice message!

You picked a great profile name. I embrace the “both” theory – I like meat and fish!  🙂 And thank you for writing a profile without typos. Lunch sounds wonderful – give me a few messages to check that we’re on the same page and you’re not an axe murderer?

Three quick questions – What’s your favorite food for a special birthday dinner? What brings you to AM now? How did you hear about it? (I’m curious as well as Sassy!)

I adore the lobster for my birthday, and am also a big fan of tempura soft-shell crab and unagi nigiri at Genki Ya near Alewife. I’m on AM because Hubby and I are great friends, but haven’t had sex in a long time. And I beat cancer five years ago. I’m whole and healthy, and want to live life to the fullest!

Men say I am an awesome kisser, a great communicator, very discreet, no drama, super-nice… looking for fun and passion and a confidante. Is that you? Feel free to ask me whatever you like to see if we click, and tell me more about you.

Hugs with groping. -Sassy

Hiya On this particular fine summer day I am in away on vacation and thinking about lobster for dinner. Brief last summer break before September and the beginning of the academic year (I teach).

Here is a good summary of my marriage (courtesy of Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong):
“A fine romance, with no kisses.
A fine romance, my friend this is.
We should be like a couple of hot tomatoes
But you’re as cold as yesterday’s mashed potatoes
A fine romance, you won’t nestle.
A fine romance, you won’t wrestle.”

My wife and I haven’t nestled or wrestled in years. So it sounds as if maybe you and I are in a similar place.

Why am I on AM now? Good question. I browsed a bit a year or so ago, and actually met someone for lunch twice, but nice as she was, we didn’t click, and so I didn’t pursue anything since then. But maybe the reason I have browsed again is the fact that I am 65. I am not panicking about getting old, but 65 is a milestone that makes you pause to think about what you want out of life. And what I realize is that I would like to have the tingle of flirtation and romance again. Kissing, making out, groping, sex.

What would my favorite birthday dinner be? That’s tough. Probably the wonderful Afghan food at Helmand’s, or a great lobster risotto somewhere. (chocolate cake with a candle on it would be nice too).

I’m pretty sure I am not an axe murderer. I think of myself as level-headed, romantic, low-key, witty, charming, and gentle. Fire away with additional questions.

A hug and a grope, back at you!

Hiya! Great to hear back and so quickly. Thanks!

If you wanted to get me drooling, the word lobster was a good way! Yum… hope you find a juicy one. Good you can get a break before school starts.

Next week is crazy at work but it should calm down after that. I’m that efficient office manager no one notices who takes care of all the admin details so the staff can focus on their work. There are teachers where I work but it’s a big place and I don’t interact with them much.  Hope we’re not at the same place… hmmm.

Sorry to hear you are in the same boat I am with a room mate spouse. Maybe we can fix that if you take a shine to me. It is strange how sometimes people click and sometimes they don’t. Hope you have better luck with me that you did last time! I do like to nestle! and kiss, make out, grope… definitely sex. 🙂

I hear you about milestone birthdays. Interesting how a random number can bring on such reflections. Glad they brought you out to play now!

I adore the food at Helmand! The service is sometimes so glacial I lose patience, but I don’t go often enough to remember that. Have you been to The Red House in Harvard Square? Their lobster  risotto comes very close to heaven. The lobster chowder there is the best thing I’ve ever put in my mouth, except for… um… where was I?

Three more questions:
If I could take you to a concert, any time in history, what would you choose?
How old were you when you first had sex?
Have you always lived in MA?

Hugs with groping, and an ear nibble. Just because. – Sassy

Thanks for the cancer survival congratulations! Crossing the five year mark, when recurrence percentages go way down, is a big relief. I mostly forget about it now, except when someone else gets sick and I can help. I was lucky, found it early, was able to work most of the time through nine months of being cut, stabbed, poisoned and zapped, and kept my sense of humor. God bless the wonderful staff at MGH! I’m not into pink ribbons or rabid fundraising and such. I try to be a thriver, not just a survivor! But it can help you understand why I am out here looking for a man to hold my hand and rub the inside of my wrist with his thumb.

Hi again This is not a response to everything you’ve asked since it is late and I’m in post-lobster (and wine) bliss-out.

I appreciate the ear-nibble! I love nibbling on ears (or being nibbled on myself). Can’t remember when last I received/gave such attention!

As for where we both might work, that is really a “hmmm . . . ” kind of question, and I have been trying to think about how best to deal with that. Frankly, when I sent you a message knowing that your posted yourself as being in Boston, I wondered if this could be too close! But at the moment my feeling is that we should explore whether we connect or not, and worry about proximity etc. after we know a bit more about each other.

“Three more questions:” (you have an interesting knack with questions!) If I could take you to a concert, any time in history, what would you choose? — tough choices! Concerts by Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Dexter Gordon, on the one hand. Patsy Cline on another. Offenbach in Paris in the 19th century.

How old were you when you first had sex? — 17. She was much much more experienced than I was. Memorable for me, maybe not for her!

Have you always lived in MA? — Nope! I was born in the South, but my family moved to the West Coast when I was little. I still think of the West Coast as my “home town.” I’ve lived around here a long while but I still find myself a bit at sea in New England. I love living here but I constantly  realize that it remains a semi-foreign culture to me.

That’s it for tonight! I’ll write some more tomorrow In the meantime I will fantasize about being kissed, groped and having my ear nibbled upon! Grrrr!

Hiya hot stuff, Thank you for writing more tonight! Fun to think of you in a post-prandial bliss typing to me.

You make me smile. I crave the basics – a simple kiss on the back on my neck, holding hands, nibbling, a back rub. I will start to crave more as I get back into it, but for now the idea of little touches revs me up!

I puzzled over the employer thing, too. Your solution makes sense. Now you’ll be looking at all the admins wondering… hee hee. I am not around teachers much, and I tend to stay anonymous, so we may not even have deal.

Thank you for answering my questions and telling me little stories. I adore that! A jazz fan eh? With country and some can-can! Wow… I like folk, a cappella and Broadway tunes, mostly to sing along. I was lucky to see David Wilcox, my favorite folksinger, in the back room of the Burren recently. Incredible to sit 5 feet from him – he usually plays places with 5,000 people! Patsy… ah yes. I’ve sung her songs. She reminds me of another favorite, Patti Page. I can also move to the current grooves like Uptown Funk or Meghan Trainor’s All About the Bass. I am a figure skating fan and have fun with the music it teaches me.

I was 17 also, with my high school sweetheart. Neither of us knew what we were doing and it was… dull. We puzzled over why adults liked it. I’ve learned a lot since then!

I was raised in upstate NY. Came to MA for college and stayed. I think I’ve got it now.

Three more questions:
Do you have children? Grandchildren?
My husband adopted two cats while I was in chemo, but we never made it to parenthood. I dote on my young niece.

Are you going to face any guilt?
I thought I should feel some but I don’t.

Where is your favorite place of all your travels?

Oh… one more. What color are your eyes?

So happy to spark some fantasies. Hope you have sweet sexy dreams. -Sassy
