AM men so far

Happy New Year!

I am feeling a little better this morning – regrouping, taking stock of where I am and trying to figure out where I am going.  I feel done with Ashley Madison but don’t see a clear alternative.  Here’s a quick summary of my contacts since I joined AM in mid-September:

  • 10 men contacted me that I replied to

  1. Why would someone be on AM if they aren’t ready to play?

    • Good question, Dik. I have two theories.
      1) They like the idea, the fantasy… but when it gets real, they can’t deal.
      2) They don’t want to play with me. Which seems more likely when their profile is still on AM weeks or months later.

  2. I would have say your experiences have paralleled mine.

Interestingly, my #1 (not from AM however) just sent an email “checking in” for the new year. I ask myself “why now”? He left the picture after meeting for lunch once and with a similar “I hope you find what you are looking for” message.

On a more uplifting note, my final AM contact and I are a thing for a year and a half. We consider ourselves lucky.

  3. When you think of how many guys you dated until you found someone you wanted to marry then those numbers actually look pretty good. We get way to anxious on AM about failure. I sounds corny but failure does really mean you are one step closer to finding the right person.

I’d count yourself a success. And just think of all the blogging material those guys gave you! You should be thankful! 🙂
