Wondering about Brett

Hiya Brett,
Hope your had a great Sunday!  I was thinking of you, wondering if you got to relax.
Hubby and I escaped to RI today!  I had a delightful German lunch in Bristol, then we went to the beach!  It was so peaceful.  The sky was so clear, I swear we could see Martha’s Vineyard on the horizon.  We stopped at some farms… the colors of the pumpkins and veggies and apples made for beautiful photos.  Then it was off to dinner at The Boat House – a spectacular baked stuffed lobster.  Yum.  It was glorious to get out and about.
Are you gearing up for Halloween?  You seemed so excited about it this time last year.
Take care!  Have a great week!  Hugs with groping!

Re: October afternoons
Sassy,
Life has been hectic for the last few weeks.  My project at work has taken off and there is an endless string of deadlines approaching.  We spent the last week in training, all five days.  I had to take off some time from the training in the last two just to get some of my regular work done.
Home life is stressful lately as well with a medical issue (not mine) that may turn out to be nothing, or may be more serious…more tests to be done.  All of this has made it difficult to think about getting together, but I would look forward to some time.  I’m sure I have some vacation that’s available, but I haven’t even taken the time to figure that out.
Just wanted to let you know what is going on…I will be looking for another opportunity but still don’t see it on the horizon.

RE: October afternoons
Hiya Brett!  So great to hear from you!  I was starting to worry.
Sorry work and life have been hectic, but thanks for saying.  I will send healthy vibes that the tests don’t turn out serious but I am here for you either way.  I want you… I miss you but I understand and don’t want to add to your stresses.
Had a fun time today taking snacks to a community project meeting.  Then I took sushi to a surprise birthday party.  Whee!
So excited for the Cubs and Cleveland in the World Series – interested to see which of the Red Sox alums prevails.
Take care dear man!

Hiya Brett!  How are you doing?  I’m home alone and thinking about you.  Hope life is treating you well.
Life is rolling along – work, community project tasks, admin stuff for Mom’s estate.  We were supposed to go to NC this weekend but the hurricane as turned highways into rivers down there!  No clue when it will be back to normal.  Hubby made plans thinking I’d be away, so I’m looking forward to a quiet weekend.
Here’s to beautiful fall days!

Hi Sassy,

Hope your week is going well. Sorry about your weekend not being great. Holy Crap it took me forever to get out of the City after lunch. Brutal traffic leaving….

=====
Hmmmm… not sure what to make of this.  He waits four days and then… terse. Complains about traffic.  Nothing about our first meet or planning another.   What can I say to this?   I drafted a reply but didn’t send it.  I’m sorry about the traffic?  Zzzzz…. It’s tough to be enthusiastic when he’s not.
Such a contrast between him and the other guy!  I’ll focus on Randy for now, see how our meet goes.

Hiya Brett!
Happy October!  Hope this month is off to a good start.  It was so good to see the sun today after so many gray days.
We buried Mom’s ashes on Saturday, standing under umbrella’s in the rain reciting poetry and singing a hymn.  Good to have that done.  My cousin came from NC – I took her up to Essex for lobster on Sunday.
Work has finally calmed down after the crunch.  My new boss is getting worse.  I am thinking of taking off on Friday, if you happen to have time to play.
Hope your dreams are sweet and sexy! Mwah!

RE: The week that was
Sassy,
Sorry for your losses.  It reminds me how lucky I’ve been and that I  should not take life for granted.
I’ve been busy as well, cleaning up around the house…as task that after years of accumulation seems to have no end.  Also at work my project is just starting to come up with deadline after deadline.  I got a new computer at work and need to get all situated with that.
Other than that, life has matched the weather lately, dreary.  Leaves me mostly with my dreams….

Hiya D! I had a strange day, standing out in the rain to bury Mom’s ashes, big lunch with family… but all that is over. When it got bad, I thought of us being naughty and I could smile again. Ha! Hope you’re having fun!

WOW! He wrote back.  I am surprised.  But he didn’t write much.  Hmm… once again, it won’t surprise me if he doesn’t write more.  Just does not seem enthused.

Re: The view
Good morning,
How I look forward to reading your emails.  I love your style!   I can almost picture you sitting across from me.  I can imaging gazing into your blue eyes and watching your smile as we discuss the day and life.  I try to deftly catch a glimpse of your chest wondering and musing over what could possibly take place later.  Lingering a bit too long in my thoughts and gaze, you catch me, knowing what I must be thinking.  A slightly sly smile appears on your face and we both think of what a magical afternoon we are in for.  You straighten your back a bit, almost proud to display yours gifts.
Wow you’re a Sci-FI fan… That is awesome.  And you have followed them. I never really had time to go to those kind of events or tried to meet stars of the shows.  I love that you did.  Must have been fun.  I love Sci-Fi!  I used to read every book I could get my hands on, then came life and a family so I haven’t done much reading in the last couple decades.  I do like some of the quality Sci-Fi shows.  Always wanted to go to ComiCon to see the spectacle.
As far as travel, I love the outdoors – camping, hiking in the wild.  I have been to Canada and Mexico a bunch but never traveled outside of the US other than that.  Next week I head off to Europe on business, which will be my first trip abroad.  I am looking forward to it but it will be an exhausting trip.
How about you have you traveled much and what is your favorite place?
My dream vacation right now is to sit on a beach and relax.  I hold up my hand and an adult beverage appears… can you tell that it has been a while since I have had a chance to relax?
As far as a date – yes those types of bars exist.  Perhaps we could get together for an after work beverage next week?
I will work on writing some new musings over the weekend.  I deleted much of my stuff because others in the house had a habit of using my computer and much of my hard drive is shared.  Plus that way this is all new fantasies.
