Re: Happy New Year
Hiya G!  How are you this fine Wednesday?
I am back in the office.  It is wicked quiet – less than half the staff are around.  We’re prepping to work at home tomorrow due to the storm.  Whee.  Can you stay out of the snow? Is this a quiet time?
The annual rush on AM is on.  I got photos, winks and messages in bunches yesterday!
One guy wrote three messages last night – very whiny!  Like “Why don’t you read my profile?!”  then “Okay… you read my profile… now please write me back?  I wanna talk!” And then finally “Please please write to me?”  *sigh His profile was a clear case of “you wouldn’t like me and you are not my type” so I was polite and told him that.  Thank goodness he didn’t write back.  Phew!
I did hear from The Northerner!  He is back and horny!

Good morning Phil!
Have a wonderful Wednesday!
We’re prepping for lots snow tomorrow!

Work is CLOSED TOMORROW!  Whee!

There’s money in old LPs! Thanks to Somerville Grooves! Especially if you have Led Zeppelin or Talking Heads. I cleaned out our hall closet and found 30 LPs from the 1960′-80s. There’s a shop in Union Square that sells them, so I asked if they’d take them. They said a few are worth something! So I went over tonight and got $35! He also took my 45s! And I have new space in the closet!
8:03 PM
Peruvian dinner – first time at Machu Picchu in Union Square Somerville!
Free starter of corn nuts and tangy sauce
The handsome menu and dining room.
Superb soup: Aguqadito de pollo – chicken and cilantro soup
known to Peruvians as “levant meuerto” – soup to raise the dead!
It would be soothing for a sore throat!
Ceviche! There was a potato in the center.
The orange-colored slice tasted like sweet potato
but might be yucca?
Very helpful menu with photos and detailed descriptions!
Amazing menu with photos and descriptions!
Entree: Lomo Saltado – sirloin strips stir-fried with onions,
tomatoes and fries. Served with white rice.
Entree: Pollo Chan-Chan – The labyrinth-like structure of the
archeological site of Chan-Chan is the inspiration for this dish
of seared chicken rolls stuffed with shrimp, spinach and mozzarella,
served with green beans and spinach-mashed potatoes.
Llamas! or Alpacas?
The main dining room
with a huge photo of Machu Picchu on the back wall.

Roll with whatever

Re: MLK Day Plan

Hiya Brett! Happy new year!

So glad to hear you’re back.

Thank you very much for considering the MLK weekend possibilities. This is probably too many choices, but I’ll lay them out and you can ponder.

I talked to Hubby about his plans. He asked to be dropped off about 12 noon on Friday and picked up at 11 am Monday in downtown Boston.

Could Friday work? I can pack Hubby off to his convention at noon, so we’d have about 5 hours then if we want to be here. If not here, I could meet you somewhere by 1 pm.

I can also make Monday work if we start early – Hubby will check need to be picked up by 11 am so we could meet here before that or 12 noon somewhere else.

Is there another option I am not seeing?

Saturday and Sunday are completely open but I assume those are too risky for you.

I know this is all very tentative this far in advance. I can roll with whatever happens. It is so fun to think about!

Last day off
10: 31 AM Sassy
Oh, you’re so lucky!  I’m back in the office.
But it’s quiet – only about half of my colleagues here.
I am feeling virtuous- cleaned out half the front hall closet yesterday.
Recycled 3 boxes of papers from the 1980s and have 7 bags to clothes and stuff to donate!
I also made a list of my dad’s LPs from the 1960s to 80s and sent it to the record store to see if they’ll take them.  Whee!

11:01 AM Phil
I’m sure they will!
